For more than ten years, Southern Clearing has been serving utilities, municipalities, railroads, departments of transportation and commercial operations in West Alabama and East Mississippi providing right of way clearing, land clearing, new line clearing, herbicide vegetation control and hazardous tree removal. In addition to commercial services, we also provide residential services.

Right of Way Clearing

Utility companies contract with us to keep their rights-of-way clear of trees, shrubs, brush and vegetation, important for safety of individuals as well as interruption of electrical service. With regulatory standards constantly changing, at Southern Clearing we stay abreast of these changes to provide superior production that is compliant, efficient and safe.

Land Clearing

We have large-scale equipment to clear land for industrial and real estate development, new highway construction or new utility installation. And we have the expertise and experience to get the project done efficiently, cost-effectively and on time. We have had the opportunity to work for some very large developers, Departments of Transportation and utility companies.

New Line Clearing

When utility companies are clearing land for new lines, they depend on Southern Clearing to get the job done. We have the equipment and expertise to clear large trees, brush, vegetation, or anything growing that may be in the way.

Herbicide
Vegetation Control

We provide herbicide vegetation control to non-crop industrial entities such as utility rights-of-way and others. We provide both vegetation free management services as well as selective control spray programs. We use a variety of methods to minimize the impact to the environment and maximize the effectiveness, while at the same time keeping our employees safe.

Hazardous
Tree Removal

Removing trees is complex and can quickly become dangerous. We have experience removing large trees and trees that are difficult to access. Before we start a tree removal job, we create a work plan with the ultimate goal being safety for people and property.
